THE BOOK OLYMPICS
by Jessica Messenger
A Book Week play on the “Champions Read” theme
|
When Sally Strange stayed home 'sick' from school she didn't
bet on her Grandpa's mad cap scientific invention, 'the Book
Portal' landing her smack bang in the middle of the Book Olympics.
As famous fictional champions battle it out to stay alive in
the hearts and minds of children everywhere, can Sally ever
hope to compete? Or is she in danger of being re-written forever?
Come on a crazy journey of creativity as Sally learns important
life lessons about courage, resilience, and self-confidence
from the champions of fiction. From Odysseus to Captain Underpants,
Percy Jackson to Bilbo Baggins, let the hero's of our imaginations
teach us a thing or two about becoming real life champions. |
