Life is hard for a kid in the nineties, and no one knows that better than Peter,
Wendy and Tony. PETER is a 'dork' - or at least that's what the others
call him. He is a loner and he is 'straight' so he just does not fit in at school.
Home is even worse - his parents are splitting up! WENDY just wants to be
accepted into her peer group, she wants to be 'cool' like them, so she takes up
smoking. TONY's got it made. He is cool, he is good looking and he is
the best at sports. He is the head of his peer group; everyone wants to be like
Tony, except Tony. When Mr HOOK comes on the scene pushing his magic
Sherbert 'guaranteed to help you forget your problems',
|
Tony is a prime sucker.
He ends up losing control of his life and the others call him "Stony Tony"!
He is hooked!
Through rock music, song, dance, drama and comedy this play discusses the issues of:
-
Substance abuse
- Smoking
- Peer Pressure
- Being Yourself
- Coping with Problems
- Friendship
