Boy meets girl. Girl
dresses as boy. Another girl falls in love with girl!
Class Act proudly
presents Shakespeare's hilarious comedy of romantic entanglements,
misunderstandings and deception set in the psychedelic world
of Illyria in the Seventies, where the pompous and arrogant
steward, Malvolio, is tricked into wooing his mistress Olivia
- clad in yellow stockings and a smile!
Twelfth Night was performed from

MANDURAH HIGH SCHOOL
“
My students and I enjoyed the evening. It’s not often
that our kids get to attend live theatre. Thank you for sharing
this production with us.”
MT LAWLEY SHS
“
The small group of students I accompanied to this performance
were thoroughly entertained! I am eager for my students to
be exposed to the Bard’s works because it opens their
eyes to just how entertaining his plays can be! Thanks.”
Simon Pro, Theatre Australia
“
This year Class Act took a brave step to set the play in the
psychedelic 70’s. Stephen Lee, a master director, who
clearly understands all the intricacies and specifics of Shakespeare’s
words with his very talented Perth cast, took the audience
on a journey. The whole cast brought something very special
to their parts and brought those characters to life in the
crazy and wild world of the 1970’s. Congratulations guys,
you have got a hot show on your hands and I hope Perth recognizes
it.”
Geoff Gibbs, The West Australian
“ Alison van Reeken nails the complexities of Viola
and plays the role with sustained energy, honesty and engaging
empathy.”
“ Graham Mitchell almost steals the show with his dour Malvolio.”
Sarah McNeill, Post Impressions
“
The foolish tangle of love and practical jokes unfolds under
the critical eye of Vivienne Glance as Feste. “Wise enough
to play the fool”, she invests the character with a stylish
wit while staying true to the lyrical language.”
“
The most notable performances are Graham Mitchell’s Inspector
Blake-inspired Malvolio, who looks ridiculous in tight yellow
flares; Alinta Carroll’s glamour queen Olivia and Alison
van Reeken’s vulnerable and sweet Viola/Cesario.”
